Serenity Prayer
This pattern comes from manuscript a Four Gospels book, Dragalevski monastery, from the second half of 16th century. The prayer itself is widely attributed to Reinhold Niebuhr (1891-1971), who created it in the 1940s but published it in 1943. A very profound prayer suggested to me by Father James Kenna at a time when I was juggling many responsibilities - family, baby, school, work, and so on. The prayer helped me to establish the priorities in my life and to remain calm when events did not match my petty plans.
