This piece is inspired by the woodcarving of a gigantic eye above the iconostasis of a church in Etura, near Gabrovo, Bulgaria. The Eye of God signifies His Omniscence. In the Center of the Eye, the pupil is composed of three flowers like lilies, symbolizing the Holy Trinity. In the iris is a wreath of threefold flowers. From the Eye emerge rays of light, and outside the Eye are pattern of rays of eyes as in the prophecy of Ezekiel - the Wheel of God full of eyes.
