Theophany

from $50.00

This piece is dedicated to the Holy Feast of Theophany and was completed on January 6, 2015 in Bulgaria. Theophany depicts the Baptism of Christ and here emphasizes the Holy Trinity - the Father with his open hands, pouring down the Holy Spirit as a Dove, from whose beak comes an olive branch of peace that forms a wreath around the Son - Christ's head. As in several other pieces in this series, Christ is seen in perspective from above, his head as an eye. The Trinity is aligned in one vertical axis that emphasizes the connectivity, unity, and the love between them.
